Mom: Well maybe you're just not supposed to live there.
QV: But I really like the place.
Mom: Yes but you know it's not the only apartment. There are others out there. Maybe you're husband's not living in that building.
QV: My what? I thought you'd given up on me.
Mom: You never know.

Always choose your living situations based on men. Yeah. That's smart. Go mom.
Mommy dearest will never give up on you -- that's not how moms are built. If their prayers and hopes for us could actually come true based solely on how much they want it for us, we'd both be happily married with babies by now instead of apartment shopping solo...that being said, how fabulous is it to have your own place and daydream about how you're going to decorate it without having to consider someone else's junk and tastes?
Who says there isn't an upside to being single?
i don't think moms ever give up. there would probably be far less nagging if they did haha!
